TT House is located in lane 6, Mieu Nha village, Hanoi, Vietnam. It belongs to a young couple and a son living with grandparents. The couple would like to have a spacious, open and cozy house with a lot of natural light for three generations’ living.
To meet homeowners’ requirements, architects have carefully studied the plot of area and suggested building a house in modern and minimalist features with a square and sharp design. Therefore, the house is emphasized by iron frame awnings in combination with aluminum bars. Those bars are covered by aluminum look wood that creates beautiful sun flap effects when it is sunny. Home interior is highlighted by unconventional accents – combining rustic and close with modern patterns adorning a little bit of vintage style forming an overall peaceful and cozy space. It fully satisfies homeowners’ demands of spaces to chill and take pictures for virtual life. On the first floor a bedroom is reserved for grandmother, so its theme is mainly designed in deep neutral color which is suitable for the old. One of the highlights on the first floor is the glass fiber reinforced concrete wall system that is tiled from the foot of the living room to the end of void, which is also the area of the first floor’s staircase. Instead of using traditional handrail, architects install a hard cable system from the first floor stretching to the third floor saving area dramatically and featuring a modern beauty.
Going to the second floor, the highlight stays in the master bedroom directing to the void above the living room. The movable wooden sliding wall system in combination with fabric curtains creates a feeling of relaxing in a resort, not just in home. Bathroom space is skillfully adorned with a circle glass window that can be watched through outside. The house is used with main materials of An Cuong MDF industrial wood combined with Inchem high-end wall paints and Terrazzo lively and eye-strange white blending with colorful pattern tiles.
