This family has lived far from their hometown for many years and now the beautiful memories, old nostalgias prompted them to come back and renovate their home toward a close, rustic living space that is still qualified for daily activities.

The apartment has a small balcony overlooking the west of the city, the poetic Cai river, the top of Dai An mountain. Taking advantage of these features, the architect came up with the idea of designing a balcony like a real yard with a canopy, natural stone floor, hand-grinded stone door sill, wooden door …

The balcony overlooking the west is widened to build a yard expressing a sense of peace and purity like 20 years ago. This widening also helps to prevent the sun shining directly inward.

From the green and fresh yard, stepping inside is a living room – kitchen space with adjacent and open design. The combination of straight and curved lines builds a soft, flexible and close look.
