A Lovely Modernism Apartment
A Lovely Modernism Apartment
With a modest apartment, under the talented hands of architects, the lovely apartment has satisfied homeowners who have had a habit of living in a three-storey private house for a long time. A+D Design and Construction Co.,Ltd. has created a very handy and neat space with modern design style for this 62sqm apartment.
“Wrapping up” to “open up” is a smart way to expand space
Wrapping up the cumbersome to open up a handy living space is the design criteria of the home. Raw apartment with 2-bedroom facilities perfectly suits the needs of homeowners. However, other spaces such as the living room and kitchen need adjustments because the floor area is not too spacious.
Having no need to receive guests at home, the owner asked to simplify the familiar sofa set by a high table used as a dining area, a bench system designed close to the wall to save space. This space can be used by the owner to sit or lie down. A TV cabinet and speaker system are still kept in the living room to serve favorite entertainment needs.
To solve space limitations, architects prefer to use two opposite white and black tones to create neatness and minimalism. Glossy material brings a modern and trendy feeling. Besides, the walls are treated in concrete colors to both contrast with the polished furniture and harmonize in the overall.
In the living room, the area adjacent to the balcony is used to arrange a desk and worship space with a curtain to keep the necessary solemnity.
With the criterion “close to open” the architect uses the design of many storage cabinets to clean the living space. In the master bedroom, the under-bed area is optimized for use as drawers. In the children’s bedroom, the bed can be opened and closed.
Stylized so as not monotonous
By handling pieces and delicate lines, the architect has added personality to the small space with interior design and decoration. The mural inspired by Mt. Fuji (Japan) is reproduced in black – white – gray tones blending with the color of the house. Decorative walls, tables and chairs, shelves with breakthrough lines are selected to make an impression for the living space.
Despite being small, with a suitable design, the 62sqm department still ensures a lot of criterias: neat, aesthetic and convenient. Space has never been a challenge for architects, on the contrary, it is a creative inspiration for them to help homeowners get the living space as expected.
