Inspiration For A Home In Light Colors
Color has always been an endless source of inspiration in home interior design. You can look for color inspiration in household items like fabric patterns on pillows, carpets and blankets, or get your favorite color from an artwork. By choosing a favorite light color, thereby adding other similar colors according to increasing or decreasing saturation, owners of below home have created a harmonious overview of the interior color scheme.
This 100sqm apartment consists of 4 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 kitchen, 1 working room and 2 bathrooms and belongs to a couple living with two pets. Its main color is blue with tones from dark to light. Depending on the space, architects will highlight with different suitable details, but still ensure the utility of Nordic style in the overall design.
At the entrance door, an impressive highlight is the eye-catching multi-colored tiled floor, which is completely different from the wooden floor of the whole apartment. This difference not only helps distinguish the lobby area from the rest of the space, but also makes the space become vivid.

The round kitchen island looks like a divider, carrying the mission of dividing – connecting the kitchen area and the living room. In addition to being used to receive guests, the island is also a place where homeowners enjoy tea, drink coffee and read books every day. Besides, architects realized that in the future the family may have more new members, so they designed an extra cabinet under the hidden dining table. When necessary, owners can pull the slide to turn the cabinet into a dining table for about 5 people. Currently, this table is used flexibly for entertainment purposes or as a working desk depending on homeowners’ preferences.

The master bedroom best expresses the owner’s preferences. Being fond of green color and mountains, owners turned the room wall into a beautiful work of art. Dark and light color layers look like near and far undulating ranges of mountains. In order not to affect the continuity of the picture, architects design a separate dressing room between the bathroom and the bedroom. This layout both helps to keep a large space for sleeping area and reserve enough space to store clothes in large quantities. Inside the room, there is a large L-shaped wardrobe, dressing table, and accessory cabinet, all are neatly arranged, tidy and convenient to use.

A working room is set up behind the TV wall in the living room. The wall in bold blue color not only brings a pleasant feeling but also creates a concentration on the work.

Continuing the light theme of the overall apartment, the second bedroom in playful colors will be preserved for the homeowners’ first child. The wall is painted in light blue and installed with decorative shelves in different shapes. Architects integrate storage functions in the small bed by a cabinet on the headboard and a drawer under the bed.
