The bold color tone of the apartment is light brown. The living room and bedroom were designed to become prominent with swimming koi fishes.

The apartment owner was advised by a group of architects Tran Viet Phu, Nguyen Duc Anh (Boring City) on Japan’s minimalist housing style with the main color of light brown from oak. Floors, ceilings, oak furniture are painted with protective oil.

The living room has wooden ceilings and decor corners to bring a cozy, close feeling creating a place of relaxation and intimate get-togethers for the whole family after a hard-working day.

The kitchen is redirected based on feng shui factors welcoming sun and wind. The area of kitchen is also increased to match the needs of usage. The design team added a marble bar table for owners to sip a drink in their spare time.

Edges in interior details are minimized for the safety of small children.

The living room and kitchen are separated by a bar table and large grey wall. The apartment does not have a dining table because the owner wants to gather and eat on the floor, creating a coziness and intimacy.

In the living room, the owner places souvenirs from all over the world in light brown wooden display cabinets.

In the worship room, there are 3 worship cabinets with the order from left to right to worship gods, Buddha, and ancestors. The design team chose the rustic wood color with a simple Buddhist layout, with the Torii gate where is the owner’s praying and meditation area.

The main bedroom is created based on inspiration from the stream where the koi fishes are swimming, helping the space to have a highlight which is consistent with the design concept of living room. The modern minimalist white mattress and light brown bed are a beautiful duo.

The apartment has two small additional bedrooms. Here, the bed is not used, a mattress was put on a brown integrated cabinet.

There is also a white and brown cupboard to hold a collection of bags.
