The infusion or a blend of Japanese and Scandinavian styles named as Japandi. Japandi design focuses on simplistic, minimalistic designs that are aesthetically pleasing but rooted in function.
This apartment belongs to Ms. Nguyen Tran Nhu Oanh and Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoang with area of 72 square meters. It was designed by Architect Le Khanh Lam at Liam Design Studio. Homeowners choose gray, white, and brown wooden tones to create a cozy, simple living space and use many multifunctional interiors to optimize the area.
The living room and dining room are filled with natural light thanks to a wide glass window system along the living room. Interior in light color tone makes the space looks larger. The integrated storage shelves and cabinets help homeowners have plenty of storage space to bring the tidiness for the apartment.
The combination of Scandinavian and Japanese styles truly features the beauty of the living room.
Window is a place where homeowners can welcome the morning sun and enjoy the sunrise. At night, the space becomes cozy under the yellow light and homeowner can observe the night sky toghether from the door frame.
The main color tones of the apartment are white, gray and wood brown based on owner’s preference. When choosing furniture, decoration items and household appliances, homeowners also pay attention to the main color of the apartment to create color harmony.
Simple white dining table with 2 chairs are suitable for the couple.
Wooden blinds are great matching with wooden floor. A simple TV shelf integrated with storage cabinet is one of the function highlights of Japandi style.

‘I don’t want my house to be a department store, so I put spices and liquids in plain glass bottles and pursue a neat lifestyle with the criterion that each furniture needs its own place’, the owner said.
Corner of dinning room is the favorite place of the owner as it has a big mirror that makes the house more spacious. A bench is used to save space. Under the bench is the sys tem of small white cabinets.
Pictures from the trips are used to decorate the wall between two bedrooms.
The master bedroom is designed mostly in brown tone bringing the warmth for the room.
